Andrew Hamm is an LA based musician and visual artist currently acting as Music Director for Crispin Porter and Bugusky Ad Agency.
After arriving in Los Angeles in 2001, Andrew launched a career in fashion. He was a lead sales rep for popular brands such as WESC, PF Flyers and Barracuta and also as a designer and owner of his own brand which launched in Pac Sun stores and various boutiques across the world. His passion however, was in music and so in 2008 he quit the fashion industry to pursue music full time as a founding member and writer in the indie-pop rock band Local Natives. From about 2005 – 2011 Andrew toured and performed with the band around the world as the bass player. He was also responsible for all visual artwork associated with the group including the merchandise, promotional materials and for the bands first album artwork entitled “Gorilla Manor”. Following his departure from the band, he began to freelance as both a composer, music supervisor and graphic designer working with companies like Coca Cola and Charles Schwabb. Alongside his commissioned works he also wrote, recorded and self released a solo album under the pseudonym of Andrew Crusher.
In 2014 he was offered a full time position as a Music Producer at the ad agency Crispin Porter and Bugusky and in 2017 was named the Music Director. He currently facilitates and oversees music clearances, sourcing and creative input for brands such as Infiniti Cars, Jose Cuervo, PayPal, 1800 Tequila, NBA2K, Fruit of the Loom and Dominos to name just a few. Alongside acting Music Director he is also the song writer, vocalist, guitarist and performer in the avant-garde art school thrash band Melted Bodies.
