Brad Segal graduated from of The Juilliard School of Music in New York City with a degree in Piano Performance. During his time at Juilliard, he accelled in classical perfomance but also was know as the “improvisor” due to his “underscore” cue writing while in the schools practice rooms! After graduation, Brad remained in New York working for two prominent jingle companies writing, recording and producing music for television and radio commercials. When Brad returned to his home town of Los Angeles, he started FineTune Music LLC, his music production and recording facility in the warehouse district of West Los Angeles, CA and immediately started working composing and producing music for independent feature films, scripted television programs and radio and television commercials. In 2003, Brad was asked to produce music for his first “unscripted” series, and he has not looked back. Brad and the FineTune Music Library have been supplying music to unscripted production companies ever since. Having scored numerous films and hundreds of hours of television, Brad is comfortable working in many genres’ whether for full orchestral or smaller edgier sounding scores.
Brad studied the piano since the age of six years old and as his skill progressed, “child prodigy” was used to describe his talents as he began winning competitions, performing solo piano concerts and as a featured soloist with orchestras in the United States and Europe including multiple performances with The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Brad performs solo piano recitals as time permits.
Brad continues to build and add music to the FineTune Music Library which has become an in demand exclusive “private” catalog of underscore music. The FineTune Music library supplies music to many television productions including The Bachelor/Bachelorette (ABC), So You Think You Can Dance (FOX), Dancing With The Stars (ABC), Undercover Boss (CBS), America’s Got Talent (NBC), Chrisley Knows Best (USA), American Idol (FOX-ABC), Are You The One? (MTV), Top Gear (BBC), Life Below Zero (NatGeo), and many more.
