Over the past fifteen years, Edwin Cox has built West One Music Group into one of the leading independent production, broadcast and film music houses in the world.
As Global CEO of West One Music Group, Edwin oversees the company’s worldwide music operations (with wholly owned or controlled offices in London, Munich, Paris, Barcelona, Bangkok, Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles), serving over 1,000 composers and artists and a highly curated, authentic repertoire spanning every musical genre.
Edwin oversees the company’s global creative and licensing activities, including day-to-day operations and the development and implementation of the company’s long-term strategic initiatives. Under his stewardship, West One Music Group has directly joined over 30 collecting societies worldwide. Edwin recently established the company’s new record label, Little Assembly; launched a custom music division of the company; and expanded the senior management teams in the US, positioning the company to partner with their media clients to an even deeper level for many years to come.
Edwin is also a tireless advocate for music creators, working to ensure the rights and value of their copyrights are optimally served and protected in today’s evolving music landscape. Edwin has served on a number of industry boards and committees, including the board of PRS (Performing Right Society Limited) in the UK and Chairman for the PMAG (Production Music Advisory Group). Most recently, Edwin was appointed to the board of PMA (Production Music Association) in the United States.
