As General Manager of 5 Alarm Music, JD is responsible for leading all day to day operations. This includes leading the company’s creative department, which comprises every aspect of the creation of all in-house production catalogues and custom music. JD has written and/or produced numerous theme songs and custom works for films and television projects including “The Purge: Anarchy”, “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Riverdale”, “The Prancing Elites”, “The Flash”, “Last Squad Standing”, “Sisters”, “Supernatural”, “Boss Nails” & “The Blacklist” to name a few.

JD has been involved in music and entertainment for most his life. He started doing voice-over work at a young age for companies like Nickelodeon, Universal and Angel Song Productions. You may remember J.D. from Season 2 on Fox’s highest rated show to date, American Idol, in which he made the top 32 out of 100,000 hopefuls. Simon Cowell has even written about J.D. in his book, “I Don’t Mean to be Rude, But…”, saying, “The only one of the thirty-two finalists who had no evident flaws was J.D. Adams”. “He had the full package not just as a singer but as an Idol”. JD earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Industry Studies from California State University Northridge. He has previously worked in the famed Capitol Records Tower with EMI in Film & Television Music. As well as the historic Warner Bros. studio lot with Warner Bros. Television Music. Aside from music, JD enjoys spending time with his incredible wife and son, traveling, playing hockey and golf and rooting for the Los Angeles Kings! Go Kings Go!
