An accomplished composer, producer and recording engineer, Lindsay Tomasic has been actively involved in the creation of music for TV & Film since the 1990s. With her notable resume as a musician and vocalist, it is her empathy with recording artists that results in emotionally connected performances and recordings.
Lindsay’s music has been featured on all major television networks as she has composed for the most prominent music catalogs in the world. She is a founding member of the production music giant 5 Alarm Music, and in 2004, became the manager of the world class media facility Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena CA, where she connected and worked with some of the finest recording artists, producers and engineers in the music business – musical icons from Ringo Starr to Herbie Hancock — and corporate clients including Toyota, Disney and McDonalds.
Inspired by her time as executive producer for a major music catalog and her experience as studio manager, Lindsay launched her own production music catalog: Frameworks Music, in 2006. Frameworks music is distributed by Warner Chappell Production Music in the USA, in addition to distributors in over 50 countries around the world. In 2011, Lindsay founded the boutique artist catalog Ear Parade, with partners Maddie Madsen and Christian Salyer. The catalog is currently represented by Current Music in the US and Canada, and in over 50 territories worldwide.
Lindsay served as a Governor on the Board of the Los Angeles Chapter of NARAS in 2015-16, and is actively involved with the Producers & Engineers wing of the organization.
In 2017 Lindsay teamed up with author, educator and music journalist, Dan Kimpel and launched a music industry podcast, Storyophonic. The podcast features interviews with producers, recording engineers, songwriters, composers, music supervisors and label owners, giving listeners tips and tales from deep inside the music business. The podcast began airing in January of 2018 and has an audience of over 10,000 listeners worldwide.
